The Elf Project
TEP is about raising awareness regarding the insufficiency of education and the unfortunate circumstances of kids all around Pakistan. Our aim is to help better our country by raising funds, creating campaigns and engaging in various initiatives to do what we can to educate the youth of Pakistan and bring about change. The change we aim to bring about is an impactful one, and we hope to gather as much support as possible!

Who We Are
Hey guys,
We're a group of students from KGS who have started TEP, The Elf Project. We first begun our mission in our own school, by taking the initiative of painting classroom walls with colourful, vibrant murals pertaining to different subjects.
As time went on our project grew and we began to not only work with various other schools and charity initiatives, but expand ourselves into a better non-profit organisation. Our aim is to improve the social and educational standards of Pakistan, and do what we can to help who we can.
As a developing country, Pakistan has a typical school leaving age of 14, indicating that most kids don't even get to finish ninth grade before they are forced into hard, manual labour jobs. Around 50% of all Pakistanis can't even read or write their own name. TEP's main aim is to lend a hand to underprivileged children and provide them with otherwise unattainable opportunities.
We came up with the name "The Elf Project" as elves are typically helpers, and we aim to be helpers to Pakistan and help better it as much as we can.

Events
Making A Difference

The OTF Carnival, Jan 28
Near the beginning of this year, TEP worked with OTF (the Orange Tree Foundation) on their annual carnival, where volunteers from TEP helped run stalls and collects funds for OTF. The proceeds went to helping bright, eager children receive an education from some of Pakistan's esteemed schools through scholarship.

PACC Food Festival, 18 Nov 2017
In November last year, TEP worked with PACC (Pakistan American Culture Centre) to put together a festival, the funds from which went to the Lady Dufferin Hospital.

Gift Bags, June 18
With donations from our volunteers we managed to make 40 gift bags to distribute amongst underprivileged children in time for eid. Special mention to Zoya Rehan for helping out!

How It All Began
Last year we began painting the walls of our own school, with illustrations in different classrooms pertaining to different subjects. It was this beautification initiative that inspired us to take on other schools and expand our cause.
Upcoming Projects
TEP will be working with Dania Hassan in her More Trees Less Flags program in August, as well as other programs helping out government schools.
